Maybe you missed the news but Studio Ghibli decided to (finally) open a theme park dedicated to its animation movies! It all started as a rumour but the information is now confirmed by the studios.
The location has already been set and the park will be located in the city of Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture.
In the last few days, Studio Ghibli shared few pictures to confirm that the park is currently under construction. Here’s for example a hard worker taking a coffee break! 😀

But the BIG NEWS is that they finally announced an official opening date for the Ghibli Park.

As you can see, it will finally be open on the 1st of November 2022! All the fans are getting super excited.
But wait, there’s more! As Aichi prefecture will be the home of the park, its Tourism Bureau just released a promotional video of the best places to visit in Aichi in a very Studio Ghibli way! The project is called “Play along with the wind” and make sure to check out the video below.
I don’t know if it’s just me but the beginning of the video really looks like the beginning of the movie Spirited Away, don’t you think? Probably not a coincidence!
